Nyon Rugby Club suffered another narrow defeat in what proved to be a thrilling LNA encounter against Hermance. From the opening whistle, Nyon’s forwards set the tone, dominating the set pieces and collisions. Their scrum and driving maul proved particularly effective, providing a solid platform for the backs to launch attacks and keeping Hermance under sustained pressure throughout the first half.
That dominance paid dividends as Nyon built a well-deserved lead and appeared in full control heading into the closing stages. The home side’s structure and intensity were impressive, and for much of the match, they looked the stronger and more composed team.
However, history repeated itself from the earlier Excellence A fixture, as the momentum shifted dramatically in the final minutes. Hermance refused to fade, showing determination and composure under pressure. Two late tries in the last five minutes turned the game on its head and sealed a dramatic 33–38 win for the visitors.
