LNA – Nyon vs Avusy
With the pitch holding up well following the earlier victory for Nyon Excellence A, it was now the 1XV’s chance to make it three home wins from three.
The match began with both sides trading early penalties, Nyon edging ahead before Avusy struck back with the first try of the game to take the lead. The momentum swung back and forth throughout the first half, as both teams showed strong defensive organisation and a willingness to move the ball.
Nyon’s forward pack worked tirelessly at the set piece, providing a solid platform for the backs to launch attacks. Each time Nyon looked to build momentum, Avusy responded with pressure of their own, capitalising on turnovers with sharp counterattacks.
The lead changed hands several times, with neither side able to fully take control of the contest. A late surge from Nyon brought the home crowd to life, as they edged ahead 23–22 with minutes remaining. However, a penalty in a kickable position allowed Avusy to regain the lead once more, leaving the game finely balanced until the final whistle.
Final Score: Nyon 23 – 25 Avusy
