LUC vs Nyon - LNA and the League.
The summary on the LNA game would read great first and last 20 minutes. Was it frustrations with the rub of the ball not going their way more or was it just switching off?
Either way you can’t help but feel Nyon should have put this game away earlier than they did.
You can’t argue with the result, LUC 24 – 45 Nyon, 5 points and no points picked up by LUC and the 4th place in the table only 2 points away the second half of the season will be tight.
Nyon Excellence A also picked up a win, LUC 25 – 33 NYON with some impressive moments and a score which could have been more with a few passes going to hand.
There are some noticeable points this weekend to talk about in the LNA.
Nyon have more in the tank and can still defend their 2024 title. Moving to 6th and only 2 points to reach 4th needed.
Avusy who currently sit second could not field a team this weekend for either of their games against Yverdon? I heard this was due to injury. This for me is very suspicious and not in the spirt of rugby. It is also disrespectful and not honourable two values of rugby we see talked about but have been part of rugby for many years. Make your own mind up as to why this was and should they receive penalty points?
A positive notable thing this weekend was the effort by our Swiss referee, Yann Benoit who refereed both the LUC vs Nyon games in Lausanne. Ensuring we had a neutral ref for both games. Merci Yann. I think you enjoyed the beer served on pitch after the game had finished!
