The game Saturday lasted a little longer than normal. With an injury in the second half to Anna which delayed the match whilst she received attention. It was great to see team mates supporting her whilst waiting for the support to arrive and we are thankful she is OK and doing well.

Back to the game which the Mermigans dominated in the first half. You felt though they made too many mistakes and gave too much away so something to work on for the next game.
With the 50 minutes of waiting over the game restarted and Basel seemed to up their game with hard running and good support lines. Defending hard against the Mermigans they took advantage and attacked pushing down the field.
Hard work eventually paid off picking up 2 scores coming to within 5 points of a draw only to be beaten by the whistle and full time. Final score Mermigans 22 Basel 17.
