An afternoon out in Yverdon a place my camera has visited a number of times, the last being a Nyon Championship win against Yverdon! The question today was of course could we follow up that win on the big stage.

Playing on a different pitch away from the grand stage from the final and having seen the end of the Excellence A match, which didn’t end with a good score for Nyon! The LNA game didn’t get off to the start I had hoped for, with Yverdon scoring the first try as Referee Ethan Glass raised his arm to the disappointment of the away fans, who were hoping this wasn’t a bad day at the office.
Nyon were soon back in it and the boot was going to prove to be an important part of the game today with Alex kicking well.
As the game progressed the Nyon attack looked strong even if the scrum was faltering and they soon came back into the game to edge the lead early into the second half.

After a a gentlemen’s discussion in what could only be a loving embrace on the ground between 2 players the ref rightly issued a pair of yellow cards, probably stating that their was no place on the field for their loving embrace.
Two second half penalties from Nyon pushed them 2 scores clear with 5 minutes to go. This seemed to rally Yverdon who hit back with a try, quickly converted with a drop kick in an attempt to come back in the last minutes and at least come away with a losing bonus point. Which in the end was all that could be done as the final whistle blew.
