So a few facts about PAC Geneve maybe you didn’t know. Made up of 3 of the Genevois clubs currently the majority of players come from Cern Rugby Club, a club this photographer has played for in the past. I was informed that the number was as high as 80%. You would think this is strange due to the population of the region but maybe also be a side effect of the draw of Serviette rugby Club.
Either way the past 3 seasons PAC Geneve have been a strong side winning the Swiss League at their age group at least once from memory, coached that year partly by one of our own KromaNyon masterminds of rugby.
So a tough match it was probably going to be based on previous seasons.
However the determination of the Nyon players showed through with some great play and PAC Geneve had to go to uncontested scrums.
This it has to be said took away some of our advantage as seen in the last game. For a group of players that are not big their body positions and group effort with some excellent coaching is really paying off.
