It has to be said after last seasons start and the way LUC Rugby had gone about preserving their 2 teams in their season in LNB and LND and winning both leagues this could be a test for the Nyon 2XV. However having seen the number at training this week and some players not making the team due to the great numbers Nyon were all in and going for the win.
LUC though had their own ideas and put the pressure down early with the first 3 points of the game. This was answered with 2 tries from Nyon. Though LUC were battling at the breakdown and winning a few turnovers too.
Time soon told though as the Nyon forwards battered their way over the line and the backs started to find holes. Thomas Erb’s boot was reliable and he even rounded 3 LUC players down the wing to score under the posts.
Never in doubt and a great game to watch too.
