Unsettled weather set the scene for the final day of racing on the water. Everything was looking good until the torrential rain, coming from Geneve decided to grace us with its presence just as the racing started!
Whilst my gear is water proof the sheer amount of it falling had us, heading for cover. However as it eased we were presented with a rainbow stretching from one end of the course to the other. Every so often a boat would come into alignment and tis one with its bright orange spinnaker seems to beam the rainbow into the sky!
Always good to see a few regular boats and capture them in different surroundings.
So the images here are all taken from the harbour wall which is limiting as you are dependant on the boats positions to capture the composition you want. Sometimes nature helps with the framing.
So being mostly far from the boats, I was using Nikon Z9 100-400mm to give me flexibility and give me the reach needed to photograph and the weather sealing certainly helped too!
Enjoy the images below!
