As a photographer you always try and achieve something that stands out, something different or iconic and in sports these are those moments when a team acheives something special.
Be it winning promotion to the next level, winning the league title or having given it all narrowly losing in a hard fought game there is always an image to tell the story. 2023/24 has been a great year for me personally behind the camera following the Swiss National Rugby team winning the Rugby Europe Trophy to gain promotion and my Home Club Nyon Rugby having both men and women’s teams in the national finals.
Achievement for me comes in different forms but at the end of it all its about people enjoying the images and getting across the emotion and atmosphere of the event. Of course for people to notice the images must be out there to see so getting something published in national press or online by a governing body means so much too.
